BLUE JEAN BABY REVIEWS

Uplifting
Very uplifting fun track, I love it. . . Nice to hear some upbeat kickin' ass country music. . . you guys did great with this all around its awesome!! - Phoenix - Kingston, Canada

Good Song
Lead guitar really loud and clear, great timing and great lead fills. Sound was really refreshing. Hook was really good here. Great guitar solo. Extra Credit: Guitars, Lyrics, Melody, Mood, Originality. - Sinister Mister - Zanesville, Ohio

Hot Licks
Now .... that's down & dirty!  I'm ready to put on my dancing shoes. I like the live feel of the production. I can see the blue jean baby slauntering across the parking lot to her red mustang with all the young boy's tongues hanging out. Great guitar & slide dual at the end. Fun song! Sounds Great! Extra Credit: Guitars, Lyrics. - Peter Michael Cardella - Waterford, Connecticut

Southern Swamp Boogie
Good Southern rock feel on this song. The band as a whole is tight, the lead guitar has a nice tone to it and plays some nice licks. I like the police siren guitar fill. This has that nice summertime dance floor vibe, would fill the hardwood floor with dancers. - Brian Chicoine - Chicopee, Massachusetts

I LIKE THE GUITARS
Alternative Country - This song reminds me of the Stray Cats go Alternative Country. You guys are awesome. I think you should go to Nashville - Go for a  major record deal. Lyrics are great and chorus and the hook.  The singer is  excellent for this kind of music, he found his place in music sounds like to me.  The lead guitar is phenominal. I love it. I give it a 5 because I can't give it a higher score (on garageband) than that. I loved the Stray Cats when I was growing up in the eighties.  Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Drums, Bass, Keyboards, Programming, Production, Lyrics, Melody, Beat, Mood, Originality, Most Rocking Track. - Brad Miller - Weatherford, Texas

Hank's Review
Now this is Rockin Country. Blue Jean Baby. Great theme. Good lead and harmony vocals. Great production, (very professional) Great stuff.  Extra Credit: Originality. - Hank Grant - Madison, Tennessee

Southern Boogie
The guitar starts out screamin' on this one, like Molly Hatchet or even Jimi Hendrixbut when the vocals come in they sort of soften the performance down a bit to where it's probably palatable for country music radio these days.

Instrumentally, this is pure Southern Rock Boogie, with the alternating slide and regular lead guitar workouts. The instruments sound great, they're all there, right with it, the mix is perfect.

The voice has none of the grit you usually hear with this type of song, but as I said earlier, that's probably the ticket to the country market for this song. The harmonies lend a Commander Cody feel in place and they are well done, but discrete. Indistinct maybe would be the word. Maybe too much reverb on the harmonies?

There are a number of good lines in the lyrics, and the story it tells and the images it paints are entertaining. All in all, a rollicking good 3 minutes. Extra Credit: Beat, Most Rocking Track. - David Autruche - Gatineau, Quebec, Canada

White Boy Blues
This is "White Boy Blues." Not like that's a bad thing. I enjoy stuff like Little Charlie and the Nightcats, the "California Cool" style of music that the bands play nowadays in Bakersfield and such places. "Brown hair" and "Green eyes" are mentioned in the lyrics, giving the listener a clear picture of the woman being referenced. Those lyrics are punctuated by engaging guitar solos. Especially, the slide player is hot, and gives this tune a Derek Trucks / Allman Brothers / Eric Clapton Band feel. It certainly has as much soul as "Cocaine" or anything JJ Cale ever did. Nice job. Extra Credit: Guitars, Drums, Lyrics, Beat, Most Rocking Track. - Marcus Singletary - Hollywood, California

Blue and Red
Screaming guitar intro is a little out of place with the harmonics. More suited to being a hard rock song than country. Incorporates elements of rockabilly, swing, jump, country, blues, and rock...which isn't hard to pull off one or two at a time...but that's a piece of work to do it here. But the jumping rhythm and swinging lyrics/music help this mover alot. I enjoyed the listen and caught myself tapping my feet along with the enjoyable music. Great lyrics and references! Nice song! - Jamie Gale Young - Keiser, Arkansas

This is a rockabilly mover!
I loved that out the gate this song fires you up. The lead guitar comes in pretty quickly which I loved and wasn't overwhelming but was instead bold and evenly mixed. The lead vocals are very strong but seemed as though they could have been brought up a little more. The hook was pretty strong as well. I would be dancing to this one for sure. Keep it going!  Extra Credit: Guitars, Mood. - Shawna Lynn - Brentwood, California

Modern Rockabilly
Loving the blues, the rock, and the rockabilly influences on this song, very much an early rock'n'roll 50s Jerry Lee Lewis style song with a little more of a modern twist. Definately a song you'd hear in a bar for a two step or boogie. Maybe even the intro song on a feel good rural movie. The only thing that lets you know this song isn't from the 50s is the Pat Green and Kid Rock references. Extra Credit: Beat, Mood.
- Desoto McGuire - Greenville, South Carolina

Country has found a Serious Guitar Player!!
When compared to all the other country music heard on the radio waves today as opposed to the old days there is one thing missing; the guitar skills! And then there came this band and this song! Amazing simply amazing!

I never in my life would have expected to hear guitar licks such as this in country music. The usual hook for a song is the lyrics or the melody, but the true hook for this song, the thing that draws you in the most, has to be the beyond professional guitar skills of the lead guitar.

The song provides the feel of a good down home country kicker song with the "wow" factor of a Jimi Hendrix rockout!  Extra Credit: Guitars, Melody, Beat, Originality, Most Rocking Track. - Jeff Jackson - Altoona, Iowa

Rockin Fun!!
Right off the bat I was hooked and it didn't disappoint as it continued. Jammin guitar licks and a strong melodic country voice to match. Good personality shown throughout. Nice mix too. Very nice job!!  Extra Credit: Guitars, Mood. -  Vince  Rosling - Warren, Oregon

The Market Needs This!
If Joe Diffie needs an opening act, it should be you. This is a refreshing reminder in its own category; Rhythm and Country. The song has a great beat and lyrics and I'd like to hear more of your songs... Stay the course on this sound all the way!
Extra Credit: Beat, Grooviest Rhythm. - Gary Watters - Hillsboro, Oregon

Pompodours Not Required To Rock!
Dang! Wow! Guitar was awesome! Very much like the Stray Cats! I am rocking while I listen! Get this out to radio NOW! The siren was pretty cool as well!  Extra Credit: Originality. - David James - Newmarket, New Hampshire

Excellent
I can't think of a single thing to fault.  Brilliantly written, performed and produced.  I normally write my reviews whilst i'm listening to the track...but this song i had to wait till the end.  It's a hit, all the way.  Great work from everybody concerned. - Robin Tymm - Ashbourne, United Kingdom

I'm telling my Daddy! LOL
Great intro, had me rocking in my boots and it just got better from there!  Very catchy tune with some great picking going on and just the right amount of Lead guitar fills. Great solos.  Brilliant sound that has enough originality to not sound "done before". "Better not mess with a blue-jean baby"...HA HA! I like it! Had a good laugh at the end! Great song guys, if this isn't on the radio yet, it should be!
Congrats. - Extra Credit: Guitars, Lyrics, Melody, Beat, Mood, Originality. - Trevor Steele - Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada

Great country dance beat!
Upbeat, good electric energy, easy on the ears, guitar licks are smooth & don't tear your ears up; sounds like a fun song to dance to naked in a barn with a few cowgirls! Yeeh haaW!!  Extra Credit: Beat, Best Dance Track. - Fizzlebuzz - New York, New York

Great kick off
I like it!!! Good song. Good picking. Good singing. What more could you ask for. You ought to on the radio. Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Drums, Bass, Production, Lyrics, Beat, Mood, Best Feel Good Track. - Guitar Fred - Green Forest, Arkansas

Rick`s Review
Slow them Horses Down, Lets all stop and Listen.  I haven`t heard an Edge and Groove like this since the Kentucky Headhunters.  This is spectacular!!  I love the guitar tracks.  It has a rockabilly feel mixed with a good country voice.  Extra Credit: Guitars, Beat, Grooviest Rhythm. - Rick Stavely - Prince George, British Columbia, Canada

Who's a good guitarist then?
No nonsense heads down boogie.  Great sound - excellent guitar and very tight band. I imagine you guys go down well live.  Nothing to criticise - if you're in the mood to listen to some upbeat blues, you'd be hard pressed to find many better tracks than this. Extra Credit: Guitars. - Jetrash - Forglen, Turriff, Scotland, United Kingdom

Blew the Doors Off
I think I know this dude...knew it right away when the song came up. Cat didn't waste no time, blew the doors off and rocked the house. Man, if i was in a honky-tonk about 12 midnight and the band cranked this out, I'd duck for cover and try to stay out of the way to keep from getting trampled to death by all the chicks running to the dance floor...a definate country rocker..the thing drives...lead guitar is killer... this is one helluva good piece here. Outstanding.  Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Beat. - Thomas Scott Pearce - Alert, North Carolina

Rattle & Roll
Great screamin' guitar intro. Can't stop tappin' my legs while listening to this song. Woopie, this is real good dancin' swinging old scool country rock. Nice outro with smooth female vocal at the end. It's a pity she isn't doin' the backing vocals in the rest of the song!  Maybe somethin' for the live version? -  Luc De Ryck - Antwerp, Antwerpen, Belgium

50's Classic
Wow this track would be awesome in Europe right now. They are really diggin classic rock. This a awesome song and its got some really great production. I loved the lyrics and it made me want to swing man! This should make the Top 40.  Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Drums, Programming, Production, Lyrics, Melody, Beat, Mood, Originality, Most Rocking Track. - LACS - Baxley, Georgia

Rockin' Dirty Guitar
Nothing boring about this song. It has a classic country rock feel with a contemporary flair. Nice male vocals, great beat and mood Loved the dirty lead guitar riffs. Cute playful lyrics. I could see this being played at any honky tonk everywhere.  Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Production, Lyrics, Melody, Beat.
- Kathy Garrison - Baltimore, Maryland

Toe Tapper
15 seconds in and I'm already jammin'. fun song, good harmonies. i like the lead guitar. i usually prefer songs with deeper lyrics, but i had fun listening to this one. thanks! p.s. get rid of the one liner at the end. Extra Credit: Beat. - No Fences - Lubbock, Texas

Review by Dave
Great sound guys! Love the guitar work...great southern boogie sound.  Excellent arrangement and hook.  If I could be critical about this song...I would say cut the reverb...you definately don't need it dude.  Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Production, Mood. - David Delle-Vergin - Bacchus Marsh, Victoria, Australia

Rockabilly Style
First let me say that I love the rockabilly, upbeat sound. Had me dancing in my seat. Lead guitar is amazing. Very talented. Great hook. Sounds very well put together. Nice production job. I'll listen to it again, for sure. Extra Credit: Guitars, Lyrics, Beat, Originality, Grooviest Rhythm. - Crossties - La Mesa, California

Now That's Music
It's Catchy, the Guitar fits great and they lyrics sound really country.  One of the best songs I've heard on this site (GarageBand.com). - Karma Blue -
Sarasota, Florida

Rockabilly Poets
Lyrics make this piece. Fantastic. The meter is perfect. Almost rockabilly but more refined. Production was great, all balanced well in the mix, no hogging.  Fine set of musicians from the drummer to the vocalist.  Great effort. like your style.  Extra Credit: Lyrics, Beat. - Akibakei - London, United Kingdom

Exciting Guitar
I hear rockabilly coming out of this!!  Lead guitar of course is very impressive here. The hook sounds very familiar.  Possibly so retro because of its rockabilly sound. I like it! Very danceable and catchy!  Extra Credit: Guitars, Mood. - Lauricia
Oulu, Oulun Lääni

Alvin Lee Goes RockaBilly
For the boogie woogiers that really want to go for a little ride, this song might take them there and for the Rockers theres a sharp lead guitartest playing some pretty hot licks. Extra Credit: Guitars, Beat, Best Dance Track. - Madylan Rose &The Bad Boys - Bay Area, California

Rockin'!!!!!
Totally not country. Aaand I don't mean this in a bad way!  You guys friggin' rock. You know how to lay it down.  Lead singer: Sweeeet! I like your sort of detached style.  Lead slide guitar: Sweeeet!  A rockin' song.  Really, you guys got it happenin'.  Lyrics: Reminiscent of Chuck Berry. You can't go wrong that way. Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Drums, Bass, Production, Lyrics, Beat, Mood, Originality. - Nick Linville - Newberry, Florida

A DRUID REVIEW
1)The lead guitar plays like a cross between B B King and George Thorogood and was a pleasure to listen to.  I was playing air guitar all the way.
2)The hook worked well as did everything else.  The lyrics were great fun too.
3)The sound, again no fault here I enjoyed your song.  I was entertained thank you.
Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Production, Lyrics, Melody, Beat, Mood, Best Feel Good Track. - Stephen Goggin - Ireland

OW!!! MY FEET ARE SORE!
How dare you post something that keeps my foot tapping like this does. My wrists are sore from playing air guitar. The hook won't leave my head, you have created another earworm, those tunes you can't get out of your head. You have a lot of nerve putting something so infectious on the internet.  Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Production, Lyrics, Beat, Mood, Best Feel Good Track. - David Hartt -
Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada

Very well done!
Nice gripping intro...felt like i was in a bar, very cool.  You guys are definitely very seasoned...cool song, cool writing, great vox and guitars.  Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Beat. - Old Southern Moonshine Revival - High Point, North Carolina

Oh Yeah
I like the energy of the song, real rockabilly. I'd say this is a good honkytonkin' live song...good work.  Extra Credit: Guitars, Melody. - Timmy Lee - Martinsville, Ohio

Screaming Guitars!
The guitar work was really great! The song is fun and upbeat with an appropriate hook line. I think it was interesting doing unison rather than harmonies on the last line. This is a great boogie-woogie song that had me dancing in my chair!  Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Lyrics, Beat, Most Rocking Track. - Jeanette Myers -
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada

Song of the Year Review
The lyric is soulful and thought out very well with a pleasing upbeat melody that implements the mood precisely. This song has the essence of country with blues sensibility. The title has a wonderful place and this makes the song very memorable. The song is marked with an accomplished composition and powerful vocal performance. Your professional approach to your craft is stunning. I'm most impressed. The musical implementation has strong resolve and a playful sound that gives the song life. Great job! The composition is entertaining and professional. It would be fruitful to get it to an established artist(s) with a suitable style to capture the rhythm and soul of this composition and propel it into the musical charts. Song of the Year - Houston, Texas

ROCKIN COUNTRY
Good rockin', nice country rock feel. Wow what a guitar player. All musicians are good.  Good country rock band. Extra Credit: Guitars, Drums, Bass, Beat, Most Rocking Track. - Robin Shaw - Canada

Lucky Man
Mood - Laid back in the passenger seat of the truck with feet hangin' out the window.  Who you sound like - lead vocals and harmonies blend a bit like Big & Rich ... but just a bit.  Melody is pretty ...I like the lyrics ..they are sweet ..get real snug like a couple of bugs : )  I like this !!  Extra Credit: Lyrics. - Heather Cowles
Columbus, Georgia

Fell for Those Crazy Pickup Lines...Baby!
Woo..Hoo! I love the pure and clean mood and flow of this number. It is sort of a cross between Sawyer Brown and the Beatles. The chord voicings and the harmonies really give me a British pop feel more than country.

You have a VERY unique sound fellas. It is a commercial sound with a fresh veneer. The sound reminds me of a song I heard on a Tom Hanks movie--I think it was called the Crazy Things you Do or something like that. It was a movie about how a small town band hit it big with one special song. This tune of yours evokes a similar young and innocent feel with a touch more Americana feel that that song which was a straight late 50's rock number.

The song has alot going for it. I like the little Woo hoo's and the light and airy mood. Good happy stuff reminiscent of college days and happier times. It wins as best element here. The song has a pretty good production for one that asks for no comments. Usually when a band makes that selection there is literally no production. I give the production second place. And right behind it is the singer with a nice lilting youthful delivery full of charm and charisma. A really hopeful sound with potential. Keep refining it and you might catch someone's ear if you find the right person with a little imagination. Good work!  Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Beat, Originality, Best Feel Good Track. - Mark Wheeler - Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania

Beachy Throwback
Nice electric guitar work framed what was to come. Great blend of lead and harmony in the verses. The mood reminded me of driving with the top down on the way to the beach. This is a nice blend of country meets the beach boys.
I am not sure why you didn't want production comments, as I thought your production was pretty clean and polished. As the song progressed, guitar work got even more impressive, in fact, EXTRA POINTS AWARDED FOR GUITAR.  Extra Credit: Guitars. - David James - Newmarket, New Hampshire

Great Music
Really nice mood, that is kind of a mix of modern and sixies, which is really nice, reminds me of The Everly brothers :-)   Good vocals work, they are very smooth and perfect on this song. Nice guitar work that adds a good sound for the feel of the song. Good luck!!! - Gracie Pike - Atlanta, Georgia

Rick`s Review
A bit of the Eagles feel in the intro and guitar break.  When the Vocals come in there is a hint of Roy Orbison.  I love the guitar`s groove, a lot of soul in the Playing.  Although there is a bit of an old-school feel, it is layered with a new original sound.  Way to Go!  Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Drums, Lyrics, Mood, Grooviest Rhythm. - Rick Stavely - Prince George, British Columbia, Canada

Kick that hay!
Boy, this song kicks right out of the box! It sounds to me like one of The Eagles rockers.  The vocalist has kind of a Roy Orbison influence going on.  A bit unusual for fast country/rock but original.  The guitarist was great! (except the solo at 2:12, maybe tried too much) Good driving rhythm. The lyrics were fun, positive, maybe a bit silly (snug like bugs?) but I like the positive vibe. - Vince Rosling - Warren, Oregon

This makes it all good!
Cool song. Nice fast beat. This is a feel-good drivin down the road with top down through the desert kinda' song. Like the Eagles or John Fogerty.  Great mix and recording and the players are top notch. Cheers!  Extra Credit: Male Vocals, Guitars, Drums, Bass, Production, Lyrics, Melody, Beat, Mood, Originality. - Rob Mauer - Placerville, California

Fun song!!
Upbeat fun song. Makes me feel young and in grade school country love... I guess because of the Dairy Queen reference and growing up near one and taking my girlfriend there for a Busterbar.

Ya know, I think you sound like a familiar traditional country group but not anyone in paticular. You just kinda blend in like bands I've allways enjoyed growing up and it feels comfortable & pleasing.  Extra Credit: Mood. - Brian Webb - Dallas, Texas
